A shared view for better decisions.

Information spread across several systems does not always explain what is happening. We organize commercial and operational data to distinguish results, discrepancies and outstanding items, on a basis that business and IT can review.

Start with a specific decision.

The conversation begins with what you need to understand: sales performance, operations or profitability. We define which question the information should answer and who will use it. This helps select sources and the level of detail before building queries, models or reports.

Connect figures with their context.

We bring together and organize the information needed for the agreed scope. Definitions matter: sales alone do not equal profit, and an amount awaiting clarification should not be confused with a reconciled amount. Discrepancies are made visible for review.

  • Information sources and their owners.
  • Definitions that business and IT will use.
  • Outstanding items, exceptions and supporting evidence.

Review what exists before making commitments.

We need to understand systems, files, documents and access restrictions. Data availability and quality shape the result. The proposal establishes what will be reviewed, how the team participates and what information needs clarification before it informs decisions.

Deliver a view that can be checked.

A profitability model, for example, can connect invoices, credit notes, charges and logistics costs by customer and product. Review should make it possible to follow the document behind an adjustment and separate reconciled from pending amounts. This is an example of an approach, not an attributed client result.

Agree on acceptance and continuity.

The scope specifies which information will be delivered and how its usefulness will be reviewed. Documentation, training and go-live are agreed in the proposal. Correcting every company data source or providing ongoing support beyond the agreement is not assumed.

Questions before we begin

Do we need to change our systems?

We first assess how to use existing information and possible connections. The decision depends on the business question, source quality and scope.

What happens when figures do not match?

Discrepancies should remain visible and have an owner for review. The project agrees how to distinguish reconciled from pending amounts without presenting an uncertain figure as final.

Will the information serve finance and operations?

We define users and criteria with the departments involved. A shared foundation requires agreement on meaning, responsibilities and how the data will be reviewed.
