Cloud · Monthly management

Operations managed. Responsibilities clear.

A managed cloud environment needs more than console access. It requires agreement on what is covered, who authorizes changes and how usage, incidents and outstanding items are reviewed with the IT team.

Start with the operations that matter.

We review workloads, their criticality and the internal team’s capacity. Applications, data and backups are considered parts of the same operation. This review helps define the management needed and the responsibilities retained by each participant.

A service agreement with explicit scope.

Monthly management includes FinOps within the agreed scope. The proposal specifies what we manage and monitor, which changes need approval and how incidents are handled. Operating hours, service levels and infrastructure usage are established for the environment concerned.

  • Agreed management and maintenance.
  • Backups, support and reporting according to scope.
  • Tracking usage, costs and approved optimizations.

Prepare access and an orderly transition.

We work with infrastructure and systems owners. Before intervention, we review access, documentation, approvals and outstanding items. If another management provider is involved, the proposal defines what KaiOne will take on and what is needed to begin.

Make the work visible.

Documentation, reporting and knowledge transfer form part of the scope. The team should be able to review what was done, what needs a decision and what still needs attention. The review process and owners are agreed with IT before work starts.

Distinguish operations from change projects.

The agreement does not automatically cover every workload or any future change. A migration, an expansion or a standalone optimization project is assessed according to its scope. Changes are reviewed within your team’s technical governance.

Questions before we begin

Is FinOps part of cloud management?

Yes. The monthly agreement includes usage and cost tracking and approved optimizations within scope. Specific responsibilities are documented in the proposal.

Can you work with our current cloud environment?

We start with your environment. We review the platform, workloads and objectives; compatibility and scope are confirmed during assessment. A migration is proposed when it makes sense operationally.

Does the service provide round-the-clock support?

Operating hours and support levels are agreed in the proposal. Continuous coverage should not be assumed simply because the service is billed monthly.

Agree on what your operations need.

Let’s review current workloads, priorities and responsibilities. Define cloud management your team can understand and evaluate.
